I've heard a fair amount of praise for the first generation of Pentax K-mount lenses, which surprised me a bit; I'd expect it to be a bit rocky as they transitioned from M42 to K-mount. But the Pentax-K 55/1.8 does seem to be living up to the reputation.

Wasn't raining yet...

...yet... (Windy as heck, though! Wish some of the fountain pics had came out well.)

And our old friend is out to play again. Even if the wind almost blew me off the path to his island. :)

Hi Travis
I don't see why a switch to K mount should cause any difficulty with lens design. The flange focal length is after all identical to M42.
Interesting to see your first two images show in the preview of a quote of your post, then disappear once it's posted...

True, the FFD is identical, but the K-mount throat is wider; had to be, to fit the K-M42 adapter ring.

Yeah. My guess is something to do with the 4MB photo limit; the first two are over 4 at the native res, the third wasn't. Worked around it in the second post by selecting 4K as the sharing resolution in Flickr.

Ah - Flickr - my long lost friend - I did not know there was a 4k sharing resolution - must see what I can find and try it. My last uploads to Flickr were over six years ago. I had reached 3,700+ there now they are threatening to cull 2,700 of them unless I pay them ransom money.
