Thanks, JC! I used portrait lenses for both. The first photo was taken with the FF equivalent of 135mm, the second an 85mm. Both images were cropped.
 
Oh, sorry! You asked about the lenses. One was the native Nikon 1 lens, 32mm f1.2, the other was the Nikon 50mm f1.8 FX lens with Nikon 1 adapter.
