I have heard that the 6006 mod 1 had a problem with film insert gears that created excessive "drag", causing the 0.8A fuse to blow. This was apparently corrected in the 6006 mod2 by redesigning the gears and using a 1.0A fuse.
Two questions please:
1. Does anyone know if the mod1 can be retrofitted to use these mod2 improvements?
2. Does the 6008 of the same vintage (i.e. not 6008i) suffer from the same problems as the 6006 mod1?
