We're starting to see the shorebirds on the Connecticut coast getting ready to pack up and move. Monday, we saw oystercatchers, killdeer, sandpipers and a few different herons. I thought it was interesting that only a handful of the many oystercatchers were banded (the one in the water landing shot is).
