Would it be possible for the screen to default to the last set view? Being able to see histogram or blown highlights without the press & hold & turn dial rigmarole.

Please, please, please...

Hello Terry

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this feature is there to a certain extent. In picture view mode you press the info button once, then you press and hold while you scroll to the option you are interested in (blinking highlights, detailed info or histogram), then you exit the view mode (e. g. by half-pressing the shutter button). Next time you are in view mode, if you press the info button once, the option which was set last will be displayed. In my case, I press the view button and then the info button and have the histogram on the monitor, fairly quick really.

Is this what you were looking for? Unfortunately, although lots of E-1 users have been clamouring for it, there is still no instant histogram.

Happy photo hunting Yvonne

We need instant histograms and so far it is not possible. As a minimum and if you have se tthe camera properly, you must still press the PLAY button to get a histogram. It must be instant in the true sense of the word... once the photo is shot it comes up on the screen with the histogram draped in front.

Also, the histogram needs to be more accurate. Often it is too coarse to show small area of highlights which can be blown out without the histogram showing them.
