Batteries for Controller S Camera module

G

Can anyone tell me what kind of batteries the Controller S shoe mount module takes? It looks like it should be AA, but they are im possible to put in the battery compartment and AAA batteries are obviously too small. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, is this usable on the G and N series cameras? Thank you for the anticipated help. Joel

Dear Joel,

according to the 1984 Contax Catalog, the receiver uses a 9 Volt, 006P battery, while the sender uses a 1,5 Volt Mignon battery. Surf to http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Atrium/1031/batts/Batteries.html for pictures of the 006P batteries. I think the receiver has a connector that screws into the remote release connector of the camera, doesn't it? If so, you can use it on all C/Y manual SLR's, the G1 and G2, but not on the 645 or the N-series. At least, that's what I think....

Regards, Pim Willemsen
