I always thought of Venice as an overcrowded, touristy and overrated place to visit.
And yes, it is overcrowded at some daytime moments and places...and yes, it is touristy...but I don' t think it' s overrated anymore, since I first went there a couple of years ago for the Biennale di Venezia. Was there again last year. It' s a magical place and there' s a lot to see and enjoy...especially after all tourist crowds are gone.
