Buren's and Pistoletto's Tools

For their joint exhibition at the Palais d'Iéna, already mentioned in the context of my project 52, Daniel Buren made the windows look like stained-glass windows, using colored sheets.

As for Michelangello Pistoletto, he placed a series of pairs of vertical mirrors in the axis of the space at their disposal. These pairs can be seen as more or less open books for visitors to consult. In the two pictures below, the two mirrors of the closest pair form an angle of 180° (the book is open flat), while those of the furthest pair form an angle of 0° (the book is closed).

Over the next few days, we will explore these pairs of mirrors, starting at the entrance (closed book) and working our way through to the flat book.
