Change of the flash aperture has no effect on the body

Hi there,

I have 2 Contax bodies, one AX and one 167MT
I have one flash Metz 40MZ-2 and its SCA-3802.

Everything working in TTL or whatever mode, the change of the aperture on the body doesn't affect the aperture shown on the flash screen

I'm quite sure it was the case before but I cannot remember the way

Any support appreciated, thank you!

Your right I tested it on my TLA360. It won't do it on the 167 as it does not have all 5 pins on the hotshoe, and it the last 2 pins that send the digital data to the flash. I was getting it confused with whether the flash sends the lens focal length to the flash, it doesn't on the ax, I new that the manual focus cameras didn't send something to the flash.

I'm using a Metz SCA-382 (3 prong) to use with my MZ-3 and RTS-II which I think would be the same for your 167MT; I'm currently using a TLA-280 so no LCD screen. The newer 360 series flash has 5 prongs and a LCD which shows Aperture data.
