DP1 battery freezes up

Is it possible to use a different type of battery with the DP1, as the Sigma BP-31 Li-ion battery freezes up in cold weather???
 
Asroma - I went to ebay and purchased some of the cheapy HK one's....and have not had the cold or hot weather problems as the BP-31 Sigma batteries...I do have an issue with the batteries only lasting about 1 year...but what can you say to a battery that costs 4.99USD + 1.99USD shipping...
