I sold my G9 and bought a G9 II. As far as I can tell, color science is better. DR Boost is very useful (Panasonic should really give us a chart of where it doesn't work for each ISO). Ability to shoot video for more than half and hour has already been useful. I thought I'd miss the top LCD but the info it showed is shown on the LDC / EVF. Human and animal detect works very well, the PDAF and the AI results built into this camera really help. In short, I think this is a worthy update to the original G9. I really like it.
