Great blue heron rookery visit

A friend told me about a Great blue heron rookery in her town that had "a few' nests. We counted 28 just in our eyesight! It was like a row of heron condos. For background music, while we were shooting: 28 heron nests, x an average of four hungry chicks per nest, *all* screaming at once. It sounded like a bird insane asylum. We happened to catch them at sunset while they were working on flying lessons.
