Hello all,

Just chiming in to say hello to all my fellow Leicaphiles. I've been shooting cameras of some sort for 23 years now (as of August 4th). My M stable is very modest at the moment. I've always admired Leicas from afar but just never had the scratch to make the initial investment. Just a few months ago I took the RF plunge and bought a used M6 Panda with 35 'cron IV and I've never felt more connected to my photography than I do now. It's been fun using this camera with just one lens and getting to know its quirks and how it renders.

I have been itching for a 50 and I now have enough to get a used Summicron. I was thinking of a pre-ASPH Lux but I'm really interested to see how well matched the 50 Cron is to the 35 Cron I have. I have a feeling I'll eventually own them all at some point so why not? Next in line will be an older body (M3/M2/M4) and a wide, probably a 24 or 25. Can't really throw down on a Leitz WA yet so the CV's are looking good.

Another thing I'm looking forward to trying is a C/Y-to-M adapter so I can try my Zeiss SLR glass on my M. I can't wait to see how the 2,8/28 and 1,4/50 perform on the M. I also have a 35-135 Vario-Sonnar but I imagine focusing might get a little dicey, not to mention how incredibly front-heavy it would be. Either way, I will be getting nice and comfy with range focusing!

Nice to be here and I can't wait to start absorbing all the great info!

Brad
