These are two very nice panos .
I assume that the panos are a result of stitching . Is that correct ? ? ?
If so , can you please describe the gear you use to mount your camera and how you find the nodal point .
I want to work with panoramic photography this year , but am still very unshure , what gear to buy .
I will use my SW612P HORSEMAN camera , but also want to use my HASSELBLAD 503CW + CFV back .

Jürgen

Hello Jürgen !

Thank you

first of all I am sad to see that an Hasselblad forum is so lost , without new posts :-(

This shots were taken in Wuerzburg / Bayern / Germany, thefirst panorama industry 1 has 120 Million pixels

I am using a Really Right Stuff BH-55 ballhead + their Single-Row Panoramas KIT >> http://reallyrightstuff.com/pano/06.html , on Gitzo GT5540LS

but I think I'll buy some day a Nodal Ninja 5 >> http://www.nodalninja.com/nodal_ninja_5_pro_pan_head.html

they describe How to Find the Nodal Point >> http://reallyrightstuff.com/pano/05.html
or here >> http://www.outline.be/quicktime/tuto/

my software is Autopano Pro

Thank you Eric .

I will carefully check all components .
My tripod head is an ARCASWISS CUBE C1 with two swivel levels which can serve as a pano head . It takes a sliding rail with the ARCASWISS profile .
NOVOFLEX has a "macro rail" with an ARCA profile which then would perfectly fit .
As NOVOFLEX is only about 60kms away from my place , I will take my gear and check with their equipment .
There are two obstacles with the gear . The ARCA rail adaption is assymetric and the battery of the CFV back might interfere with any rail .
Especially when using the SWC with the special battery adapter .

I will report the result .

You use AUTOPANO PRO software .
Is that software any better than PSCS4 ? ? ?
How many images did you stitch together and how much overlap did you take . ? ? ?

Jürgen

yes Autopano pro is better than CS4 (you can PM if you want :) )
for the first Pano there are 4 shots for about 3 shots width

I was in Photokina this year and I saw Novoflex , they have verry good gear , but I think I'll go for Nodal Ninja which is perfect for travelling

are you in Germany ?

Yes

Hello Erick,

Jürgen lives in the beautiful city of Sonthofen in the Allgäu area.
That is Southern Germany.
He is now enjoying lots of snow and temperatures at least 10° below zero.

Paul

Allgäu is a wonderfull region !
I am French but my wife is German and I am living in Bayern

I am just back from photo shooting the full moon and it was -10° I think :)

thank you Paul

Erick

I have not been to NOVOFLEX yet , but will travel there next week .

The images you stitch together are color images . When do you convert them to B/W and what program are you using ? ? ?

I use Power Retouche . Its a PSCS plugin "filter" .

Yesterday I visited NOVOFLEX . A small company with phantastic precision gear , mostly for DSLR cameras .
But I came home with good gear to start panorama stitching with MF digital .
Just one row panoramas (at the moment)

Have a look to my SWC 905 with my pano gear . The nodal point is not set in this image . It is just to show , that I can use the CUBE C1 as a panorama head .
The C1 has 2 swivel levels . One lower one and the upper one as "panorama head" .
As you can see , when using the Q-Plate the other way round , there is enough space for the battery bracket + battery when using a SWC .

What I need now is a decent weather . Today it was foggy all day .
