Jammed/stuck 500 C/M

My wife recently pulled out her camera after 18 years to take our daughter's Senior pictures. While testing the power packs, lights and camera the camera "Jammed" after advancing. We remember that this happened every once in a while. she even kept a coin with her during shoots to un jam the camera, but for the life of us we are unable to remember how she un jammed the camera with the coin.
What information would we need to provide, and on what forum page should we post the information in order to get suggestions on how to fix.

Thanks in advance.

A coin is often used to cock a lens after it became uncocked not fitted to a body.
For lenses fitted to the body a coin does not help.

I wonder what you use the power packs for?
Is your camera by any chance a 500 EL/M or similar motordrive camera?

If the camera is a 500C/M you may try to unjam the body lens as follows:

1. Remove the filmback, open the lower flap of the auxilary shutter at the rear of the body.

2. Use a small screwdriver to turn the center screw located just below the lens clockwise while depressing the lens release button.
Gently try to remove the lens. Do not use force.
Take care not to let the screwdriver slip from the slot. It may damage the rear element of the lens.

If this does not work let a camera technician remove the lens and look after the cause of the problem
