My research regarding a short telephoto for an M7 resulted in stumbling upon a speculative post about the new lens range for the Rollei 35rf. An 80mm 2.8 Planar HFT lens will be released shortly, and is based on the same spec lens used on the 6x6 TLR cameras.
According to an email reply from Rollei USA i received this morning:
"The 80mm f2.8 for your rangefinder should be available in the next 30 days. It is using the formula of the TLR lens. We will have more information soon. Please email us in 1-2 weeks for a full update. Thank you for your interest in Rollei products."
