New Fuji films

Fuji announced several new films at PMA (hello, Kodak, did you hear that?). While I can understand the reason for replacing NPS160 and NPC160 with Pro 160S and Pro 160C respectively, I'm very puzzled about the new Velvia 100, which will replace Velvia 50. Makes me wonder why Fuji feels necessary to keep Velvia 100F around?

Also, new True Definition 400 sounds like Reala in 400 ISO. That would be pretty good.

If you look on brochure they published, http://www.fujifilm.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/bin/Velvia100_Leaf_Final.pdf
you will probably not notice much without taking a close look. What I see in that brochure on my monitor is two things. First of all, take a look at the orange plate (the plate on the right, closest to the viewer). Compare the two shots. On my LCD monitor the plate appears to be more pure orange on Velvia 100 than it is on Velvia 100F.

Second thing, big flower on the green plate inside orange bowl. In Velvia 100 shot the flower appears purplish, on Velvia 100F shot it appears bluish.

I'm also going to take a look at it when I get back home (I have LaCIE monitors, color-corrected at the factory, although I will need to get Monaco Optix XR Pro or similar stuff soon), but at the moment I'm not sure what to make of it...

Looked at it at my LaCie monitor. There is definitely color difference between the two objects I mentioned. I'm not sure which of the films reproduces colors correctly though, since I have no idea how did the scene look like originally (and how does that flower looks like in real life)
