> I have the Tokina 17mm on your list. It's a good lens. Sharp. Light weight. Also have the Sigma 12-24 f/4.5 EX DG HSM. which is a newer lens and made for digital and not on your list. I'm using it for panoramas. The range at 12 > is really good. If you are out on an open field, there is some slight curvature of the earth. Easy to handle in PS-CS2. It's not a fisheye.

> Why wouldn't a wide angle lens operate in AF? Of course I use AF. All my wide angles use AF/MF settings , and AF works with my D30, 10D, and 1D. No problems at all. And yes, the Tokina 17mm is "cheap". $390. But it works for > what I want it for. I don't use it often. If I used it often I'd have bought a Canon L.
