Old Lenses Found. Are they worth using?

Hi NOTALENT,

If the 50mm Canon is the old CANON FD-mount, there is unfortunately no chance to have it adapted. Flange distance then is just 42.00mm.
Later CANON EF (EOS) lenses can be adapted exchanging their bajonetts with SIGMA bajonetts.

For the SD14 the rough equivalent of a normal 50mm would be the Sigma 30mm EX (47mm equivalent). But if I adapt a 50mm M42 for the SD14, is that going to shoot as a 50mm or an 85mm?

@ notalent,
as a guideline,set
SD9: 5,6
SD10: 2,8
SD14: 1,0
Those settings usually work fine and give good results.
At the lens you should set your desired aperture value
at the camera set A and the camera will calculate the shutter-time.
Regards
Uwe

Recently I've been finding that on my SD14 with M42 lens when I set aperture to 1 in A mode, the camera seems to be overexposing still and I have to dial in -0.7ev to compensate. I don't recall whether or not the meter was off in M mode.
