That's very striking, how did you get such a well blended brightness around the subject?

Lucky white/pink/yellow background for the bokeh area and bright lighting, and the lens is good. There are a couple more examples:

Another great example, thanks for posting. I'm going to try my hand at replicating this look, I like it a lot.
