Hi all! Thank you so much for your recent replies to my question as to whether a fungus-infected lens can be saved. Long story short, the first thing I looked into was the cost of repair, and when I discovered that I could just replace it for less, I did just that. I traded a zoom I don't use anymore for a Sigma 24-135 2.8. I've been needing to lighten my load for a while now (back problem), so this brings me to a 24-135 and a 150-600: I'm good to go! Even though it has sentimental value (it was my dad's), I cannot risk having it contaminate the rest of my gear. Thanks again!
