RX II lens mount

I have just purchased an RX 11 to replace my ageing 139. My Zeiss lenses mounted cleanly and directly onto the 139. With the RX 11 the lens occasionally meets resistance that feels like springing metal and tipping the upper side of the lens downwards overcomes this problem. Is this a feature that other owners have found?

My RX (original) has a VERY tight mount as well. I also have a 139 and the same lenses mount with a smooth twist & click. I assume the age of each mount has much to do with this. The RX is less than one year old vs. 18 years of on & off cycles for my trusty 139.

Tipping the lens doesn't see to make a difference for me.
