The Comédie-Française emblem is a buzzing beehive, which was engraved on the attendance tokens distributed to actors as early as 1682. This emblem can be seen on the following photo of the Salle Richelieu. Can you find it?
Here's a close-up. Below the beehive is the motto Simul et Singulis, which translates as "be together and be yourself".
Three beehives have been installed on the roof of the Salle Richelieu since 2018.
