SD card write speed for video

Hi,
I'm a new owner of a coolpix 5900 and I need to get a SD card. I have heard that some of the SD cards dont have sufficient write speed to keep up when using video mode. I was thinking of getting a 1 gig card, can anyone tell me what type I should get or what to avoid. What is the minimum write speed for successful video capture?
