Shots Yesterday

Hi . . I was out yesterday to shoot deer and found some beautiful locations at Cannock Chase. I waited and waited and waited. No deer came to my set up. I did see some deer in some poor other places that did not really make very good shots so it was a mixed bag. Here are some shots from the best locations minus the deer unfortunately. It is a beautiful place to take photos when the light is half decent. Hope you like. I did. Bag was a surprise. It felt quite light this time around. I need to brave and take another camera perhaps next time for landscapes too although the 300mm did good shots ( at least i like them ;) )

Feels good to be back here posting photos. I would have been more active but did not want to post canon nikon photos here.

Played with this one in post. Brightened background but kept deer darker . . not a hard mask . . just blur the mask. Nothing difficult or time consuming.

Support this site. It is great visually. A gallery section could be very good on this site.

They look good. The file handled brightening well. Hunting didn't work out, but you did well with the photography.

Got some more shots today. Not my best but I want post on this site because i really like this site and hope they make a gallery system on here at some point. We need users to come here so please post your pictures.

This shot today. Deer ventured out onto grasslands fields which makes for rubbish shots in Summer Time when they do this. Autumn at least is more attractive even on this field.

Added this one. This was a fantastic view that was simply crying out for deer to enter. Unfortunately they did not appear here but I am posting this anyway.

Weekend was a disaster weather situation with crap cloudy conditions.
Here are two processed from last week. One is photoshopped deer into the meadow taken from another sjhot that same day and represents what I was hoping to capture kind of. The other is completely real capture of deer entering the bank nearby. I was so unlucky I never got a better shot. If only they had continued up the bank. Anyway, here is at least something to see to support this site. .

I like how you framed the deer.
 
Here today I managed to shoot ( I mean photograph "!! ) one of the stags here. The Rutting season has passed but some of the stags are still around.
It is actually the first time I have even seen a stag here but to be fair I have not really put much effort into it. because I I am happy really taking pictures of the young deer and females. I have not even been to see the Rutting here because mostly I know there are going to be many and loads of photographers there all doing the same thing. Trying to capture the stags fighting.

Today I caught sight of this stag and just stayed with him all day mostly. I was watching him for 5 hours trying to get my best shot of him that I could.
This one is my favourite but it might not be yours perhaps.
So yes a first for me. Here is my stag photo. " Bruce" was recently defeated in the Rutting but I am sorry but I do not know whether this is the new champion or some other contender.
News is rather mixed so getting facts is not easy.

I will post more soon this week from two days fruitful photography.
