Hi Forum members!
Taking a photo is my way of actually seeing. To asses what is special with this place, in this light. It also confirms that I really have been here. Without the photos to establish the fact, have I? Memory fades.
Being a pensioner I go to places for my wife's and own amusement being lucky enough not to have to visit medical facilities out of necessity yet. That was my earlier life, my profession.
So, my Leica accompanies me almost daily but mostly on trips. I am too lazy or perhaps lack imagination enough to pursue ambitious photo projects. When doing slow photography it is the Hasselblad V with a CFV-50c back on a tripod I use. Also I have more lenses than I would admit, never sell any. A Nikon D800E is part of the arsenal too but used infrequently. To big to carry around for fun (Hasselblad is not for spontanous use), too fixed LCD to be viewed conveniently when mounted on a flexible tripod.
And my pictures? I usually am disappointed with my results. Especially when seeing the fantasy and excellence presented by many others.
But I have a problem with introductions being compulsory. But that is just me.
Eric
