Today at the marsh

You are lucky to have the nest! Any chicks yet?

At least where I now live in South Carolina, the yellow-crowneds tend to breed more in colonies while the black-crowneds tend to nest in with other birds like snowies, tricoloreds, little blues, etc.

Not yet, but I check the driveway daily. Last year we had eggshells under the nest about three weeks in, so any day now (I hope)!
