Who's using what for intervalometers on a7R series cameras?

I don't believe that the Sony remote does intervalometer and I'm not inclined to fiddle with an app. Are most using the JCC (wired or radio)?

Apparently the functionality was added in f/w v3 which I've had all along however both the pdf/guide and the Busch book were based on an earlier f/w release.
