Rumor mill and chatter last year was hinting of a 16-35 GM II early 2023. Sony instead released a 16-35 PZ F4. Seems the next lens in need of revision is the 85 GM. Current rumors hinting summer 2023 release.

Does this mean a 16-35 GM II now unlikely for a 2023 release?

I can't speak to any rumors, because, well, it would just ba another rumor. However, why is it that you think the 85GM should be revised? When did/ do we need everything/anything revised? If the lens was great, and is great, why would they bother to revise it?
