A Hummer from last Summer

I put a few very small Hummingbird feeders out about a week ago but haven't seen any Hummers yet so this is a shot from last Summer.

That is a superb image. Very sharp. The 40-150mm is a nice lens. Thanks for sharing the EXIF data.

Not up to your high standard, but a hummer from last August--camera shy.

That is a very sharp shot. Unfortunately, the wing blocks the eye but that happens quite often. Even when it doesn't, I still get some where the nictating(?) membrane covers the eye.

Very nice and very sharp. I just bought some flowering plants that I'll put in flowerpots on my deck and porch. Then I can sit back and watch for the Hummers!
 
Here in South Carolina we had a very few ruby throats winter over but I didn't see one in my back yard until about 2 weeks ago after I put a couple of feeders out.

Great shots, all the above. We can never have too many hummer photos!
