A newbie, a 500c/m and an 80mm CF

Greetings to you, fine ladies and gentlemen!

A quick introduction is in order - as I've been reading this forum but posted nothing so far. So, I'm a newbie in the world of Hasselblads and medium format photography in general. As you can guess, it's a hobby, not a profession for me, which has started way back using 35mm film in a Pentax ME Super. After a several year pause later steps have been more in the digital domain - and I'll still be shooting with my Nikon DSLR on the side.

Zoom in on today: a 500c/m with an 80mm CF lens and a A12 back + WLF are traveling towards me here in Helsinki, Finland. I'm all set with a 5-pack of slide film and ready for the set to arrive... Exciting times for me And loads of learning to be experienced.

First shots have been taken and I'm thrilled. Yesterday's news to all you pros here obviously - but one giant leap for me

It may be yesterdays news for many of us but I am convinced everybody still remembers his or hers first Hasselblad camera.

That camera made a significant change in the photo life for many of us.

The succes of the CFV39 DB shows how loyal users of V series cameras are to their cameras.

I am sure this came as a surprise for Hasselblad management as well.
