Hi guys! This is Ariel originally from the Philippines and been living and working in the emirate of Abu Dhabi for the last 10 yrs!

After of almost a month of research, discussions and net surfings to help me out in deciding what would be my very first DSLR camera - I would like to thank this site and you guys here for making my decision just like a walk in the clouds. The discussions and experiences I have gathered from this site just pushed me instantly to a decision and now I am proud to say that after of almost 8 digital cameras of numerous brands - I am a proud owner of a SIGMA SD14 with 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS lens just a couple of days ago!

I have taken hundreds of pictures probably in the last 3 days since I got my SD 14 and boy I must admit - I'm overwhelmed by the quality of pictures (though I'm absolutely struggling with the camera in manual settings!) the SD14 has produced.

By the way, I've got a very good discount from the local SIGMA dealer here for being the first Filipino according to him to purchase a SIGMA SD14 in his 2 years of selling the camera! According to him - I definitely know what I'm buying! (Don't ask me how much I've got it as it would probably drop your jaw in disbelief!)

Once again, thank you guys for this site and for your mind-wrecking pictures, comments and expertise.

Hi adanez,

mabuhay! Welcome at the Sigma User Forum!

Great to hear that we could help you in your buying decision. Enjoy the Sd14 and show us your images, your fun or your frustration with making your first steps with the little baby. We are here to help.

best wishes

Good luck with your camera, adanez!

It is a fine, a very fine camera, and I think you will enjoy it.

You can take photos with your SD14 which simply cannot be taken with Bayer cameras. But then, you already know that! :)
