Would this combo work on a D70 or D200? - 2 years ago, before I sold my Leica thread mt to F mount adapter, I was told by a dealer that an enlarging lens with such an adapter & mounted on an AF extension tube(Kenko for ex&le, of course manual focus) could be used "stopped down". On my old N8008 it worked with my Sunpak555 flash...

Enlarging lenses usually make excelent macro lenses. I have used a 50mm f4 nikkor and several other enlarging lenses on bellows on my Nikons for decades.

Ron - I used to mount Enlarging and close-up lenses(39mm screw mount) on non-AI extension tubes with my former N8008, N90 and used a Sunpak 555 for TTL w/o a problem but would such a set-up (of course with a Nikon digital flash) work (iTTL) with the D70 or D200? I bought a set of used Kenko's but they were not the digital version, just Nikon AF so I returned them the next day. I don't have a camera yet (just 2 lenses)so I don't want to get stuck with useless equipment.
