Are Sonybs Zeiss point and shoot lenses real Zeiss

Hello all

Somebody out there must know this.
It see the Zeiss name on lenses on Sony point and shoot digital cameras.

Are these lenses really Zeiss design and quality or is it all just for marketing of ordinary glass?

Hi David,

Regardless of the actual manufacturer (Sony, Cosina or Zeiss?) of the incorporated lens, Zeiss rightly guards its reputation assiduously.

So you can be reasonably confident that the design will have been created by Zeiss and the quality control standards will have been set by them, whether they manufacture them or not. So, ordinary glass it won't be.
