Every camera accentuates dust and lint, but this lens really shoves it in your face. And this is even after wiping and scrubbing this 22mm cap with a brush…

I've been meaning to get a proper macro lens, I miss the ability to shoot something further than 10cm with my setup. I use a 40mm pancake lens + extension tube(s) for tiny wildlife, once I'm out in the field I don't like swapping a lens.

Well, It looks like your lens performs well, hope to see more images. I like your images #1 & #4 the most.

You mentioned dust, I find that too for indoor photography, if you have a blower that helps a bit.

Thanks for the replies. Before this, I relied on filter adapter lenses to allow getting closer to the subject with my regular lenses. They work OK, but the more powerful the adapter, the more distortion and chromatic aberration they introduce. With this lens I can get even closer as-is, but of course the adapter and extension tube tricks could also be used. Someone on DPR has even hacked an extension adapter to allow combining this lens with a 2x teleconverter it normally isn't compatible with, and together with an extra front adapter, the results are mind-boggling. But FTTB I'm happy with what I can do with this bare lens

An LED in a gadget that reacts to movement. I have tried to get a shot with the LED lit up, but the requirements of giving it enough of a bump to activate it while at the same time keeping it within frame for the shot were quite incompatible…
