there is a quick comparison between the Zeiss ZF 50/1.4 vs. Nikkor 50/1.4 in the British Journal of Photography (BJP).

The results of the ZF are better

No real scientific test, just shots made without showing the images and teherfore only decribed in words..
 
Not surprised. I believe ZM50 2 is better than ZF50 1.4 so I have not brought the new 1.4
