Bug shoot gone sideways

This guy showed up while I was weeding the garden, so of course I had to break for this. But he was lost in the green background, so I got the bright idea to relocate him to a flower. It was all fine and good until he started eating it! I lost the whole petal. Then we felt bad because it was so brutally hot, so Dave gave him a sip of hummingbird food, which he seemed to appreciate.

Great shots and the idea to move it to the flower. I have a similar shot with my neighbor holding a Hummingbird that was exhausted after being caught in a web in his garage. He brought it to me as he knew I had humming feeders. I brought out a spoon and some sugar water that I had in the fridge and while he gave it a drink I took several shots. I'll have to dig that out of my archive as it was many years ago. My Daughter loved it and submitted it to the local newspaper and they paid me $50.00 for allowing them to publish it and the story behind it.
