Carl Zeiss lenses Japanese VS German - Any difference?

Hi

I have often wondered what the differences between japanese made CZ lenses and german made CZ lenses is, if there is any? Anyone with experiences on this? Is there any CZ lenses out there with MM function made in Germany?

If you talk about MM lenses, then I guess that the overall quality is the same. It seems Kyocera/Zeiss just produce lenses where its cheaper. IIRC at least Sonnar 2.8/85 is MM made in Germany in time of Aria introduction.
