Hi, Can anyone out there summarize the functions of the D8 databack for Contax AX? I do not have a manual and am interested in using it properly. Thanks,
Ezekiel

I would suggest, again, call Contax and get the manual. Contax is very reasonable about manual pricing.

I think if you poke around the back a bit, you'll probably figure out how it works. Basically, you set the switch inside the back on if you want it to imprint cummulative data after the roll has rewound on the first two/three frames...so do not turn the camera off until that imprinting is done...which is shown on the rear red LED on the back, set the date/time (that should be reasonlbly easy to figure out), and choose the format of the imprinting between the frames you want...and it'll display that format in the rear LCD, and that's it. If it's displaying "-----", there will be no imprinting between the frames. I haven't used the interval timer, so I have no idea how to use it.

Regards,

Austin

Anyone got a manual for Contax D-8 data back in electronic format? I am not trusting this manual re-print services. I have been stabbed in the back in the past - I did order a manual for
a Gossen Light Meter, instead I received a manual for a Zeiss Camera. It took me 2 weeks to get my money back.
