Contax RTS/RTS I

Hello,
has anyone service manuals for Contax RTS?
I try to adjust the metering in my cameras because they all work different.

>You seem to live in Germany. The easiest thing would be to contact KYOCERA in Hamburg. Two years ago they had leathers for CONTAX 137 and YASHICA FX103 available (at a really affordable price !)

Try cameraleather at:

http://www.cameraleather.com/

or email info@cameraleather.com

They have better quality materials than originally used (doesn't melt in your hands), and they have several material choices. Instructions are included for self installation.

They even did a custom set for my RTS original winder.

Regarding the original RTS I and II, does anyone know whether a data back was made with a year wheel which goes beyond '93?

I just picked up a data back for the fun of it and forgot about the year issue. It will still be usable but it would be nicer if later years were available.

I did send a note, to Kyocera, not answered of course.

Hi Don,

For the RTSII, you can get the Digital D4 Databack, which will work till after the end of the world. I had the "analog" back for my 137 once, and I managed to cover the "8" in "81" to stand in for 2001. In 2002, I simply used "Aperture 2", but that is of no use anymore :)

I have changed to D4 and D5 now, I think they are much better. There is (?) no digital for the RTSI, I guess.

Regards,
Karsten

Well, it seems I'm stuck with what I have. I bought the back on eBay, not even thinking about a date limitation. It still needs to have new light seals installed and the date problem remains. I have an original Dealers Model RTS and at this point I don't want to invest any more on it.

I believe the back I have is digital, just from looking at the construction, but can't be sure. No idea what model it is, however.

Thanks,

DAW
