Contax RXII

To Michael Koerner:
Well I am also "fed up" with all this bad news about Contax, and I am really frustrated that in Austria there is absolutely no Contax support indeed. But I also had a talk to Yashica Europe and they said that there is no RX on stock any longer. So it might be senseful to import the RXII if there is any interest in the european market.

Well, In Stuttgart I know 3 dealers who still have an RX on stock, in Ludwigsburg there is one. Two of the biggest German Photo-Catalog-Order-Companies do have it still listed in their Catalogs. The biggest Contax-Specialist also still sells it. And looking at the UK where the situation is different (no one had the RX on stock obviously), you have seen that as soon as there was demand, they very quickly imported it despite they said, they won't. I really hope they will do the same thing here in Germany. Otherwise they might loose even more marketshare.

Unfortunately I can't say something about Austria. Maybe the situtation there is different. Then Contax / Yashica / Kyocera would be quite unwise not to bring the RXII especially as it seems that the N-Line isn't the success they expected.

Let's hope that they know what they do (which seems to be a rare gift for companies at the moment :-( ).
