Contax T3 and Filter and Hood use

I have found a new T3 at a very good price and am close to ordering. Before I do, can somebody please tell me if the 30.5 Contax filter adapter (and whatever is attached to it) must be removed before shutting the camera off?

Also, if I use an 81C/KR3 warmer (or any filter for that matter), does the camera read TTL or do I have to adjust exposure manually?

No need to remove it. The adapter bayonets into two small sockets on the lens and does not affect the opening or closing of the lens barrier.

As the meter is external you will need to factor in the absorption characteristics of the filter. I am planning on trying a polarizer in the near future.

I'm using a light yellow b&w filter and the only compensation I did was to put the camera on the 4b (1/2EV) pre set.

Is there anything else to do?

You missed another step... set CF3 to "C". This will hold the exposure compensation until you cancel it.
