is the GK-54 57mm Metal Lens Cap the correct cap for the contax 28 & 90mm lens hoods?

yes Jonathan, the GK-54 metal cap fits both on the GG-1 (for biogon 28), GG-2 (planar 45) and GG-3 (sonnar 90) lens hoods.
