Courting flamingos

You wouldn't expect flamingos in Germany but there is a breeding colony of several different subspecies right on the Dutch border at the Zwillbrocker Venn. Due to the drought they had a horrible time last year since the island in the middle of a marsh where they breed became accessible to foxes and many chicks didn't make it. This year is much better and with about 50 pairs breeding things are looking good. Here are a few shots (all denoised, sharpened and sometimes enlarged with Topaz Photo AI > it is impossible to get vey close).
