Firmware designations for N1 cameras

I know there are various firmwares(?) in the N1 cameras - A and B for bodies, L for a mounted lens or FT1, and S for a mounted speed light. The V1 I'm looking at has all 4. Same with the V2.

But a J5 shows only C and L, and both of my V3s show C, L, S, and F but neither A nor B.

So, does the C replace the A and B? And what is the F mean?

I have never even seen or touched a V3 so I couldn't tell you. My J5 is the same as yours, C and L.
