The Nikon D200 shall be around 2000 USD. Available at least in Japan already at Christmas time.
Looking at the new Sony R1 with the 10MP chip, it might be the same ship in the D200. But as we know from the Nikon Coolpix cameras, Nikon improves the image quality with modified software. So I would expect better image quality from the D200 sensor (if it is the same as the new Sony R1).
