I have here a set of photos that are simple for AI to make something of. First I will show you two absolute original photographs with hardly any post processing ( that maybe a lie because the photo with the couple in the distance is heavily cropped so not exactly low processing as i claimed. I just remembered . ) so that you can see the original photos and what the missing roller skates look like in real life before AI tries to magically make the skates appear.

As you can see here . By far the best shot has unfortunately got missing roller skates. It is still miles better capture though in my opinion but we all have different opinions on these things.

AI photos to follow.

Ok . . Sorry it has been so long before posting these results. Here are 3 examples that AI had done ok with unless you look really hard. Ok of coarse we are going to look really hard !!! the wheels are a bit wonky kind of when we look hard but at first glance these are not bad. ( AI can be terrible with some things in my experience but I guess it all depends on which software you are using. This exercise is one of the more simple tasks and yet the results were either this good ( not bad but slightly wonky ) or much worse. Some were even given coloured shoes which is strange but easily fixed !! .

I have embraced AI kind of because it is fun. I personally would never cheat myself by posting pictures without saying they have been fixed up in AI but yes I guess AI will be the kingdom of bad practice over time as it gets better. It is going to be used by Professionals in all kinds of photography that is a certain fact. All photography competitions need to be shown raw photos as well as finished entries but that should be happening anyway. I have embraced it but yes I expect one day I will regret how good it is because it will take away more than it gives regards the craft. There is a lot to debate surrounding AI . It may in fact encourage the film rebellion even more because film will be authentic. The back lash of AI will promote film interest and perhaps that is an interesting side effect.
