Have just joined the group. I've been using film since 1950 as I'm an old gaffer.......BUT I am considering digital and have been interested in the claims I've seen about the Foveon giving results close to film. For some years I'be been using and processing colour neg and then digitising thro Vuescan/Photoshop. So I'm just going to take my time in looking thro lots of posts from people actually using the gear (SD15) and seeing whether I think it right for me. Any individual comments /help you'd like to give would always be read with thanks and interest! As you've seen I live in the UK.

photogenius_uk - Nice to see you here...I have a couple of other places you may want to look...

1st - www.sigmacumlaude.com/sigmacumlaude/yetanotherforum/default.aspx?g=forum <- Sorta slow forum...it is based on converting or Modding the SD9/10 or SD14/15 to use with Nikon-F/Leica-R/Oly lenses....some good shots there...

2nd - www.flickr.com/tc95 <- this is my flickr account if you want to look thru it... also a good flickr groups.... www.flickr.com/groups/foveon/ & www.flickr.com/groups/sug/ & www.flickr.com/groups/341024@N21/ & www.flickr.com/groups/sd14-nikkor/ & www.flickr.com/groups/sd14-nikkor/

3rd - A lot of people dislike the camera...if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them...as well as a lot of others here...just let us know... It is a camera you have to learn to use but once you do the images can be great...

Well thanks for that welcome and useful links. Haven't had a chance to look at them in any depth but what I've seen so far had been very good. If I get confused I'll certainly take up your kind offer of help!
