Hi everybody!
I registered at camera-info.com in 2016 but missed the opportunity to introduce myself. Fortunately the camera-info.com team is watching and reminded me for giving a life-sign. And I'm still alive!
I'm French, born just after WW2. I started photographing when I was teen - a long time ago. I've had many cameras - obviously the cheapest I could afford: Lumiere Eljy, Photavit from DDR and even a MF, a Belfoca. And also a Kodak stereo camera my father brought back from the US in 1959. I developped my negs in family's bathroom and I still have my negs from the late fifties...
When I was 18 I purchased my first Leica, a III model F from 1933 and started picturing not only family holidays, but also everiday life in my University, friends and Paris streets. Since then I've had several Leicas, from the M2 to the MP. I now have more than 100 000 negs and slides.
More recently I upgraded to MF (Hasselblads SWC and 501cm) as well as large format (Wista Field DX 45 and in 2010 Ebony 45SU) that I'm still using: analog photography is by far much more fun than digital (although I also have a Fuji X camera and several lenses, very good stuff).
I hope that camera-info.com community enjoy making pictures too and that some of you are still using analog cameras. As most of my photographic activity was analog I still can enjoy with pictures of the good old days (numeric files would have been deleted long time ago...)
Best wishes to all of you!
Raymond
