Thought I would give this site a spin after DPReview essentially closed business. Very sad but we must go on. This is one of my hobbies (I'm retired), in fact I would say it is my oldest hobby. The others are audio hifi equipment and fly fishing. I really need to get out and start shooting soon (been a bit under the weather) as I have the Sony 70-200 MK II new in the box.

I'm into HiFi too. Not as much into equipment any more as I'm well satisfied with my simple setup now:

• Onkyo A-9050 integrated stereo amp (75 W/ch)
• Tascam component CD burner (I went through a phase where I was burning mix CDs, but now my car hasn't got a CD player any more )
• Polk ES60 tower speakers

That's the living room system.
In the bedroom I have a Bose Wave Music System; it's a PERFECT clock radio, and the wife and I listen to it sometimes in bed.
In the garage, I have my mom's old Sony AV receiver and Bose 301s. My daughter and I put up bookshelves for them. My old Sony CD player from the 90s is with it.

I got most of my uncle's collection of LPs. I will take the other half next time I'm down that way.

Photography is probably my 2nd oldest hobby. (after electric R/C cars & trucks) But it is definitely my most useful and least selfish hobby!
